Technology layer

The Technology Layer describes the physical and software infrastructure that supports the deployment and operation of application services. It includes details about platforms, protocols, infrastructure services, and integration mechanisms.

This layer enables the realization of functional services in real-world environments.

Purpose

The Technology Layer answers the questions:

• What infrastructure is required to support the application components?
• Which platforms and standards are used for implementation?
• How are services accessed and secured?
• What protocols support interoperability?
